Sunja's Space:

~April 27, 2010

A few things were brought to my attention this last week in regards to "Furries." Number one being that there are certain levels of furry, and just because you are a furry doesn't mean you participate in the weird....yiff....stuff.

Secondly, and more important, I was reminded how important it is to love yourself and not care what everyone else thinks. A timeless lesson, is it not? And probably one of the hardest to practice.

So, this week I am going to go out on a limb and say something CRAZY:

I don't care if Scog is a furry webcomic.

I know what I'm comfortable with and I know what I like and will do and where I'm headed...and Scog is a story that means a lot more to me than any culture...(can I call Furrydom a culture? >.>) so if you want to call it "furry" then do so. It's your opinion, and I've no real right to tell you that liking anthro is wrong. In fact, anthro characters ARE fun to create, and even more fun to LARP. It's one of the few times I can get away with rolling my tongue incessantly during normal conversation. And who doesn't enjoy imitating a Russian accent?

Anyway, speaking of where I'm headed...did I forget to mention that I decided to go to Ohio University? Grad school here I come!
